Each racks is two pieces that slide together to stand up or can be pulled apart to lay flat for travel.

This is by far the very best travel set out there. The tiles are the largest travel set I found while still being tiny. Others are way too small. They are cute and fun too. I love the collapsible racks as well. Looking forward to new sets to come!
